Mesada

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

In short: Mesada stores the minimum your family needs to run an allowance: names, missions, amounts and savings goals. It never asks for bank accounts or cards, never moves money, shows no ads, sells nothing and carries no third-party trackers; the website counts its visits with a single session cookie (section 10). If you write to us from the site, your email is used only to answer you. Children do not create accounts or give an email: they join with a code an adult at home gives them. You can delete the whole family from Settings at any time.

This policy covers two things: the Mesada app (sections 2 to 9) and the website mesada.artifaze.ai (sections 10 and 11).

1. Who is responsible

Mesada is an app by Artifaze, based in Guatemala City, Guatemala. For anything about your data, write to support@artifaze.com.

2. What Mesada is and who uses it

Mesada helps a family organize their children's allowance: missions, rewards, savings and money habits. An adult creates the family and is responsible for it. Children take part under that adult's supervision: they join with a family code and a key the adult gives them, with no account, no email and no password.

Mesada is not a bank or a financial service. It stores no accounts, cards or payment data, and it moves no money. The amounts you see are a record of agreements your family makes at home; real money is handed over in cash, as always.

3. What we store

About the family: the family name, the currency you use, your level and the worlds you have earned.

About adults: the name they show in the app and their relationship to the children. If an adult chooses to save the family to their Apple account, we receive the identifier Apple gives us and, only if the adult shares it, their name and email (Apple may provide a relay address instead of the real one).

About children: their first name or nickname, their birthday or age, a drawn avatar (never a photo of their face), their missions and when they complete them, their balances and transactions, their savings goals, streaks and level.

Mission evidence photos (a Mesada Plus feature): the photo is stored on the phone where it was taken, excluded from backups, and deleted once the mission is approved or sent back. If your family uses several devices, the photo is uploaded to our storage only so the adult can see it from their phone, and it is deleted the same way.

About the subscription: if your family has Mesada Plus, which plan and until when. Apple processes the purchase; we never see your payment method.

Technical data: to work, the cloud service we use logs basic connection data such as IP address and a device identifier. Inside the app we use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking kits. What this website measures is described in section 10.

4. What we use it for

We do not use the data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not hand it to third parties for their own purposes, and we build no profiles outside your family.

5. Where the data lives

Family data is stored in Firebase, a Google Cloud service acting as our processor. Its servers may be outside your country, including the United States. Google does not use this data for its own purposes. Everything travels encrypted, and access rules ensure only your family's devices can read or write your family.

Gani's story, with AI. If an adult in the family turns it on, in “Get to know” Gani writes a short story with Gemini, Google's artificial intelligence, from facts about the kid without their name: which missions they do most, how much they save, how many days in a row. Google processes it as our processor, doesn't keep it for itself and doesn't use it to train its models. Without that yes nothing is sent, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings.

6. How long we keep it

As long as your family exists in Mesada. When an adult deletes the family from Settings, the cloud data is removed; backups are purged within 30 days at most. Evidence photos are deleted as soon as the mission is approved.

7. Children's privacy

Mesada is designed for children of any age, from young kids to teenagers and young adults living at home, to use with a responsible adult. That is why minors create no accounts, give no email or phone number, have no chat with strangers, see no ads and receive no external links. We keep only what their allowance needs, and the adult can see, correct and delete everything about their children from the app. If you believe we have received a child's data without adult supervision, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access your family's data, correct it, delete it or receive a copy. Most of this you can do yourself from the app; for the rest, write to support@artifaze.com and we will answer within a reasonable time, normally under 30 days. The same applies to anything you wrote to us from the site.

9. Security

Data travels encrypted. Cloud access is restricted by rules to the members of each family. On the phone, the adult area is protected by a PIN the adult chooses. No measure is infallible; if we detected an incident affecting your family, we would let you know.

10. The website mesada.artifaze.ai

This site tells the story of Mesada and is made for adults. To learn how many visits it gets and how far people read, it uses Google Analytics in a narrow way: a single session cookie, which expires when you close the browser and does not recognize you on your next visit.

What Google receives each time you open a page: your IP address — from which it derives the country, and which it does not keep — the page address (never anything you typed), the page you came from, the type of browser and device, the browser language, the time, and which parts of the story were seen (for example, "read up to scene 4" or "tapped the button at the end").

What we do not do: there are no ads or advertising accounts linked, Google's advertising signals are switched off, and we build no profiles. The reports we see are totals, such as "120 visits read the whole story this week". Google acts as our processor under its Google Analytics terms. Google keeps the data of each visit for 14 months; after that only totals remain, with nothing pointing to any particular visit.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is getting through, with the least data possible. If you would rather your visit not count, write to support@artifaze.com (any content blocker also stops it, and the site works the same).

Besides that cookie, your browser stores the language you chose, so the site opens in it next time. That value never leaves your device, and you can clear it from your browser's site data. The site's fonts are served by Google Fonts, so loading them connects your browser to Google.

11. If you write to us from the site

At the end of the site there is a form for questions, comments, ideas and support. We store what you write, the email where you want an answer, and the language you were reading in, in Firebase (Google Cloud), the same place the app's data lives (section 5).

We use it for one thing: answering you. Your message reaches us as a notification to our support mailbox, we read it ourselves, and it may well end up improving the app; your email goes on no third-party lists, is shared with nobody, is never sent to Google Analytics and is not used for advertising. The legal basis is your consent: you give it by writing and tapping the button, and you can withdraw it at any time.

We keep it as long as we need to help you and, at most, twelve months after our reply. If you would rather we delete it sooner, write to support@artifaze.com from that email and we will do it within 30 days. The form is for adults, and we ask you not to write your children's details or anything sensitive there: we don't need any of that to answer a question.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change anything important, we will publish it here with an updated date and, when needed, let you know in the app.
